MGA MKII Roadster
In 1959 MG introduced the final incarnation of the A model with MKII. Featuring the biggest engine of the A series the MKII’s have become one of the most collectible models of the A series.
The MGA MKII enjoyed an increased engine size of 1622 cc. The bore was increased from 75.4 mm to 76.2 mm to complement the larger engine size. Combustion chambers were reengineered and the cylinder head was revised with larger valves. This resulted in a 13% gain in horsepower and a 12% gain in torque. The MK2 enjoyed a higher rear axle of 4:1 which allowed the consumer to enjoy a more relaxed high speed driving.
