Mercedes 220S Cabriolet

The 1957 Mercedes-Benz 220 S is a rare gem in automotive history as the German car-manufacturer built only 3789 units of this version.

Manufactured from 1956-59 and capable of doing 160 km per hour with its 6 cylinder M180 engine its cost was originally  DM 21,500.

Delivered new to a wealthy businessman in the Serra da Estrela region in Portugal, we believe she has had only four owners from new. 

After changing hands in 2017 she was the subject of some work  that included full respray, new tyres, new soft-top, rubber seals, chrome plating, mechanic overhauling that took her to an all new level. She is a beauty and a pleasure to drive!
